FDA authorizes alternative dosing regimen for monkeypox vaccine - increasing doses available for use in adults by up to 5-fold without compromising quality or safety
The U..S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) allowing healthcare providers to use an alternative dosing regimen of the JYNNEOS vaccine for individuals 18 years of age and older determined to be at high risk of monkeypox infection. This will increase the total number of doses available for use by up to five-fold.

Programs and Services Amendments due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Public Health Emergency – Home and Community-Based Services Waivers and Long-Term Personal Care Services
Continues the provisions of the Emergency Rule adopted on August 25, 2020 which amended the provisions governing the Adult Day Health Care Waiver, the Community Choices Waiver, and Long-Term Personal Care Services throughout the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency declaration, and clarified that the home and community-based services waiver provisions which correspond to Louisiana’s section 1915(c) Appendix K waiver will remain in effect for the duration of the Emergency Rule or until the Appendix K waiver termination date of January 26, 2021, whichever is later.
