Amends the provisions governing healthcare services provider fees in order to revise the assessment methodology for hospital services providers in compliance with article VII, section 10.13 of the Louisiana Constitution and the Louisiana legislature concurrent resolution.
Adopts provisions governing directed payments to qualifying hospitals that participate in the Healthy Louisiana Program and contract with the Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) to provide inpatient and outpatient services to MCO enrollees.
COVID-19 vaccines, including the updated COVID-19 bivalent booster which is authorized for people ages 12 and up, will be available, too.
To date this year, Louisiana is reporting a total of 33 NID cases in the state and 3 West Nile fever cases. Five individuals diagnosed with NID in Louisiana have died.
The information shared will be the same for all webinars, focusing on how to complete enrollment by the September 30, 2022 deadline. There is no registration for the webinar, but there is limited capacity of 1,000 participants for each webinar.
The Louisiana Department of Health, in partnership with the New Orleans Health Department, will offer monkeypox vaccines, including second doses, at events starting next week.
