Private Water Well Assessments

Well assessments conducted by Communities Unlimited (CU) field staff can help identify potential threats to your drinking water. These assessments involve a visual in-person inspection of your well, review of well construction compared to state standards, and an evaluation of the water source when possible to identify potential vulnerabilities. Additional information will be made available to the homeowner to ensure water safety, best practices, and proper maintenance as appropriate.

This program is funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on a national scale. The program developed and utilizes a new well assessment tool to identify potential well issues, including contamination threats. Using this tool, CU provides one-on-one assistance, helping well owners identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
