The first aim is to increase the percentage of Healthy Louisiana enrollees who delivered live births and had at least one examination during the measurement period and were screened for syphilis at the first pregnancy examination by 2.0 percentage points over baseline performance. The second aim is to increase the percentage of Healthy Louisiana enrollees who delivered live births and had at least one examination during the measurement period and were screened for syphilis during 28 to 32 weeks of pregnancy by 2.0 percentage points over baseline performance.

The first aim is to improve the HEDIS Cervical Cancer Screening performance indicator by developing and implementing member interventions for the following eligible populations ages 21-64 years: 1.eligible population of women who are in case management. 2. eligible population of women who are not in case management and have had at least one PCP or OB/GYN visit during the measurement year. 3. eligible population of women who are not in case management and have not had any PCP or OB/GYN visits during the measurement year. Interventions must address provider linkage. The second aim is to improve the HEDIS Cervical Cancer Screening performance indicator by developing and implementing provider interventions [must include Gaps-In-Care Report and Provider Education].

Managed Care 2.0 Aetna, AmeriHealth Caritas, Healthy Blue, Louisiana Healthcare Connections, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan Performance Improvement Project The overall objective for this PIP was to work with pediatricians who are servicing enrollees for 6 months to five years to receive fluoride varnish in their primary care office visits. In addition, we wanted to ensure that we educated providers on billing CPT code 99188 and the need to obtain the smiles for life certification to ensure that they were eligible to provide this service, which would intern help to reduce/prevent various dental caries being seen in this population.
