Small, Jr. Keynote LectureDr. Robert E. Fullilove, a sought-after speaker for national meetings and winner of two teaching awards from Columbia University, will give the 12th Annual William T. Small, Jr. Keynote Lecture at the 31st Annual Minority Health Conference presented by the Minority Student Caucus, UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. Dr. Fullilove's lecture will be broadcast as a free, interactive webcast. Dr. Fullilove is Associate Dean for Community and Minority Affairs, Professor of Clinical Sociomedical Sciences, and Co-Director of the Community Research Group at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. A community organizer for SNCC in Mississippi in 1964-65, he will speak on Community Organizing and Community Building: Public Health Watchwords for the 21st Century. In the lecture, he will reflect on the opportunities presented by community organizing in fighting public health problems.
