Secure .gov websites use HTTPS LDH is moving forward with a plan to distribute food benefits on EBT cards. If the USDA, who administers the SNAP program, is prepared and ready to move money into states’ accounts, we will use federal dollars to fund SNAP recipients’ accounts. If they are not ready, LDH will proceed with our state-funded program to provide food assistance to the elderly, the disabled, and households with children through their existing EBT cards.

Medicaid representatives will be on hand at the annual LA Dept of Wildlife & Fisheries "National Hunting & Fishing Day" activities in Woodworth on Saturday, September 25th. Fishing begins at 7 AM & the main celebration at 9 AM at the Woodworth Outdoor Education Center. Lots of door prizes, exhibits, food, & activities for everyone to enjoy. Valuable information on all Medicaid programs, including LaCHIP, LaMOMS, Take Charge, and the Medicare Savings Program, will be available. Attendees will be able to complete applications on-site and update their contact information, as well as have their health insurance questions answered.
