Open enrollment for Healthy Louisiana begins October 15, 2020, and runs through November 30, 2020. During this time, people enrolled in Medicaid's managed care program, known as Healthy Louisiana, have the opportunity to choose a new health plan and dental plan.

Department of Health intends to issue a new Request for Proposals for Managed Care Organizations
The Louisiana Department of Health has requested to withdraw its intent to award contracts to four managed care organizations (MCOs) and if the Commissioner of Administration approves this request, LDH will develop and issue a new Request for Proposals (RFP) for the procurement of state contracts with MCOs to manage health care benefits for Louisiana Medicaid enrollees.
