The Office of Public Health Region 2 will hold a community COVID vaccination clinic on Thursday, February 4 at the Southern University F.G. Today, Governor John Bel Edwards announced the launch of COVID Defense, Louisiana's exposure notification mobile application for iPhone, Google and Android phones to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Those eligible to volunteer include retired physicians and osteopaths, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, paramedics and emergency medical technicians, and physician's assistants. Volunteers will help provide vaccines when they become more widely available to the public in late spring or summer.
