  Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities - Licensing Standards (LAC 48:I.Chapter 90)

  Amends the provisions of the August 20, 2014 Emergency Rule which amended the provisions governing the licensing standards for PRTFs in order to remove service barriers, clarify appeal opportunities, avoid a reduction in occupancy of PRTFs in rural locations, and clarify the process for cessation of business in order to revise the formatting of these provisions to ensure that these provisions are appropriately promulgated in a clear and concise manner.

  Substantive Changes and Public Hearing Notification – Adult Residential Care Providers – Licensing Standards

  The Department of Health and Hospitals, Bureau of Health Services Financing has submitted a Potpourri relative to the Adult Residential Care Providers – Licensing Standards proposed Rule to the Office of The State Register for publication in the March 20, 2015 edition of the Louisiana Register.

  March 2015 Final Rules

  The Department of Health and Hospitals, Bureau of Health Services Financing has submitted Final Rules to the Office of the State Register for publication in the March 20, 2015 edition of the Louisiana Register in accordance with the provisions of the Administrative Procedure Act, R.S. 49:950 et seq. Prior submissions are available in the archives.

  Medicaid Eligibility – Provisional Medicaid Program (LAC 50:III.2305)

  Continues the provisions of the March 20, 2015 Emergency Rule which amended the provisions of the February 9, 2014 Emergency Rule which adopted provisions to provide Medicaid-only benefits to eligible individuals who meet the income and resource requirements for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) cash assistance.

  Professional Services Program – Physician Services – Reimbursement Rate Adjustment (LAC 50:IX.15113)

  Amends the provisions governing the reimbursement methodology for physician services in order to increase the reimbursement rate for the administration of the drug, 17P, which is utilized as a treatment to reduce premature births in pregnant women with a history of pre-term delivery.

  OAAS 2015 Annual Rulemaking Report

  In accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act [R.S. 49:968(K)], as amended, OAAS has submitted to the appropriate standing committees of the legislature and the presiding officers of the respective houses its 2014 Annual Legislative Rulemaking Report of the DHH-Office of Aging and Adult Services. This report summarizes OAAS’ rulemaking actions taken in the 2014 calendar year, including Notices of Intent, Emergency Rules, Final Rules and Oversight Reports.

  DHH to Participate in Community Meeting on Access to Care for Mid City Baton Rouge

  The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) has accepted an invitation from the Baton Rouge Area Foundation (BRAF) to join health care leaders for a community meeting on Tuesday, March 3 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Star Hill Baptist Church to discuss access to health care services in Mid City and North Baton Rouge. Hospital leaders will discuss how they are expanding access to care for the Mid City community, including both increased emergency room access and expanded access to urgent care clinics for some individuals without insurance.

  Gov. Bobby Jindal and officials with the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH), and Louisiana State Police (LSP) announced the ban of a new synthetic marijuana compound called "5f-ADB" this week.
