Lafayette - Lafayette Parish Back to School Bash

The Lafayette Parish Back to School Bash is an event celebrating the return to school with fun activities, and resources that will help students and their families throughout the school year.  There will be: face painting, balloon animals, Fun Jumps from Majestic Fun Jumps, a video game tournament by Play N Trade, a new product called Switch for us to drink from Schilling Distributing, and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Department is cookin' us lunch!  Door prizes will be given away throughout the event (must be present to win).  There will be a  resource fair with information about: 232-HELP/LA 211, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club, CART, The Extra Mile, Families Helping Families, The Family Tree, Girl Scouts of Louisiana - Pines to the Gulf, The Knowledge Effect, LaCHIP, LSU AgCenter, LA Works, and SWLAHEC.

A representative from Medicaid will be available at the Domingue Recreation Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2010 to distribute information and answer questions concerning LaCHIP and other Medicaid programs, as well as, take applications for anyone interested in applying.
