NATCEP Licensing Standards – Rulemaking Activity
June 11, 2025 – The Department of Health, Health Standards Section (the department), proposes to amend LAC 48:I.10001 and §10015 as authorized by R.S. 36:254 and P.L. 100-203. This proposed Rule is promulgated in accordance with the provisions of the Administrative Procedure Act, R.S. 49:950 et seq. The department proposes to amend the provisions governing the licensing of nurse aide training and competency evaluation programs in order to add definitions and provisions for the utilization of virtual classroom training.

NATCEP Licensing Standards – Rulemaking Activity
June 11, 2025 – The Department of Health, Health Standards Section (the department), proposes to amend LAC 48:I.Chapter 100 as authorized by R.S. 36:254 and P.L. 100-203. This proposed Rule is promulgated in accordance with the provisions of the Administrative Procedure Act, R.S. 49:950 et seq. The department proposes to amend the provisions governing the licensing of nurse aide training and competency evaluation programs in order to revise the employer’s requirements and responsibilities for checking certain databases/registries, to update the department’s process for notifying an individual that has been implicated in an investigation and/or had charges substantiated, and to clarify the process for requesting an informal dispute resolution or administrative hearing.
