The Region II Alliance (composed of East Feliciana Parish School District, Point Coupee Parish School District, West Feliciana Parish School District, and the JOY Corporation) has implemented the research-based programs All Stars, Project Toward No Drug Use and Strengthening Families to students at Jackson, Clinton and Baker Middle Schools; Pt. Coupee Central High; and Feliciana Family Outreach Center.  All Stars is designed to delay and prevent high risk behaviors in middle school age adolescents (11 to 14 years old), including substance use, violence, and premature sexual activity, by fostering development of positive personal characteristics.  Strengthening Families uses family systems and cognitive−behavioral approaches to increase resilience and reduce risk factors for behavioral, emotional, academic, and social problems.  Project Toward No Drug Use includes motivational activities, social skills training, and decision-making components delivered through group discussions, games, role-playing exercises, videos, and student worksheets.
