Coordinator/Instructor changes and Clinical Contract changes must be reported using the appropriate form. Please read the instructions carefully, as the forms have been updated.  You will not receive approval/confirmation of these requests.

ALL changes, except Coordinator, Instructor, or Clinical Site, must receive approval from this office PRIOR TO IMPLEMENTATION.  Changes must be submitted via written request to this office. It must specify the change requesting, the effective date, and any other pertinent information.  These changes include, but are not limited to, days or time of instruction, program hours, textbook, curriculum, location of classroom instruction, hours of operation, telephone, email, administrator, ownership, etc.  Please note: changes to the total training/instructional time will require submission of the new curriculum, including the time to be allotted for each unit/subject.

Effective July 1, 2018: Nurse aide training programs will no longer submit student information for placement on the Nurse Aide Registry.  Once the student successfully completes (passes) both portions of the competency exam, the student's information will be submitted by Prometric for placement on the Registry.

Code of Federal Regulations – federal requirements as per CMS.  These are minimum standards that must be met by any NATCEP.

Louisiana Administrative Code – This link will take you to the combined/complete state regulations.  Click on “Title 48:I-XXV, Public Health—General (Book 2 of 2)."  The NATCEP regulations are in Chapter 100.  Please note, the regulations have not been revised since the last Rule was promulgated in May 2012.  This link simply provides you with a version that combines all revisions.



As a reminder to NATP's: Clinical training cannot be performed in a facility that is ineligible to conduct NAT due to any of the reasons as noted in CFR  483.151.  The facility is not required to notify the NATP; therefore, it is the responsibility of the NATP  to ensure the facility is eligible to serve as a clinical training site.
