The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) invites healthcare providers and stakeholders to participate in meetings to discuss the state’s upcoming proposal for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) funding opportunity focused on maternal health.
The CMS recently announced the Transforming Maternal Health (TMaH) Model, which aims to provide up to $17 million over a 10-year period to selected state Medicaid agencies. LDH plans to submit its proposal by September 20, 2024, with award announcements expected in mid-December. The funding will target three key areas: Access, Infrastructure, and Workforce; Quality Improvement and Safety; and Whole-Person Care Delivery.
LDH seeks feedback and partnerships from providers and stakeholders to develop effective strategies to address these areas. Two meetings are scheduled to facilitate this engagement:
- September 5, 2024, 12 PM - 1 PM: For Advocates and Community Partners
