The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) Office of Public Health (OPH) is temporarily closing Orleans Parish Health Unit-Delgado and Wetmore Clinic located at 1676 Gravier St. The closure was effective Monday, August 26.
These relocations are necessary to enhance the Region 1 (Greater New Orleans) Office of Public Health's physical footprint in Orleans Parish.
Residents in need of health services typically received from Orleans Parish Health Unit (PHU) and Wetmore Clinic can visit other Region 1 locations listed here.
In response to this closure, Jefferson Parish Health Unit-Metairie (111 N. Causeway Blvd.) and Jefferson Parish Health Unit-Marrero (1855 Ames Blvd.) are expanding their hours to meet the needs of residents. Both parish health units will now be open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Wetmore Clinic services, including tuberculosis and refugee healthcare, will be available only at Jefferson PHU in Marrero.
WIC services are available Wednesday to Friday at Jefferson PHU in Marrero and Monday through Friday at Jefferson PHU in Metairie.
