The Louisiana Department of Health's (LDH) community-based COVID-19 testing sites in Region 4 (Acadiana) will have a delayed opening on Friday, Jan. 21 due to the forecasted weather, and the Ville Platte Civic Center testing site will be closed on that day.

Sites affected are Lutcher Senior Center and Houma Municipal Center.

Vaccine sites will operate during regular hours on Thursday and will close on Friday. Parish health units will continue to operate as normal on Friday.

The Louisiana Department of Health reported 29,125 new cases Tuesday since January 14, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 1,025,748.
