EMERGENCY ORDER: Reporting and Data Sharing of known and suspected positive COVID-19 cases occurring in all public, private, and charter PK-12 schools.
This Emergency Order shall continue the previously issued Notice #2020-COVID-19-ALL-020, and shall remain in effect from 11:59 p.m. on July 5, 2020, until further notice from the State Health Officer.
Continues the provisions of the March 20, 2020, Emergency Rule to add coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) to the list of reportable diseases and conditions set forth in §105 of Part II of the Sanitary Code (LAC Title 51). The following Emergency Rule, effective July 5, 2020, shall remain in effect for a maximum of 120 days, or until the final Rule is promulgated, whichever occurs first.
The Department provides the following clarification update to the Emergency Order/Notice that was issued June 2, 2020, regarding the re-opening of Commercial Body Art Facilities.
This Emergency Order shall be effective as of 12:01 a.m. on May 28, 2020 and shall remain in effect until further notice from the State Health Officer. This Emergency Order will supersede the previous Orders regarding the closure of Tanning Facilities, only as to the provisions affecting Tanning Facilities.

The Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Public Health (LDH/OPH), pursuant to the emergency rulemaking authority granted by R.S. 40:4(A)(13), hereby adopts the following Emergency Rule for the protection of public health. This Emergency Rule is promulgated specifically in accordance with R.S. 49:953(B) of the Administrative Procedure Act (R.S. 49:950, et seq .). The LDH/OPH expressly finds that an imminent peril to the public health, safety, or welfare requires adoption of this rule on an emergency basis.
Continues the provisions of the November 8, 2019, Emergency Rule LAC 49:501, 503, 509, 511, 515, 517, 519, 521, 523, 525, 527, 529 and LAC 51.VI.301, authorizing the regulation of the cannabidiol-containing products made legal for sale to consumers under the provisions of Act No. 164 of the 2019 Louisiana Legislature.
