Continues the provisions of the January 10, 2023 Emergency Rule which adopted provisions governing American Rescue Plan Act funding in the Home Health Program in order to establish recruitment and retention payments for nurses that provide extended home health services to beneficiaries under the age of 21 who are in a Medicaid waiver program.
Amends the provisions governing managed care for physical and behavioral health in order to ensure the Louisiana Administrative Code accurately reflects the current reimbursement methodology for federally qualified health centers and rural health clinics.
Amends the provisions governing the reimbursement methodology for intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities in order to allow for an additional add-on rate for comprehensive dental care provided to Medicaid beneficiaries age 21 or older who reside in these facilities.
Repeals inpatient hospital services rules which were promulgated prior to implementation of the Louisiana Administrative Code codification system as it has been determined that the provisions are obsolete and should be repealed.
Amends the provisions governing the dental benefits prepaid ambulatory health plan in order to allow Medicaid beneficiaries age 21 or older who reside in intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to receive dental services administered by a dental benefits plan manager.
Continues the provisions of the November 18, 2022 Emergency Rule which amended the provisions governing the licensing of nursing facilities in order to: provide requirements for generators or other department approved alternate electrical power sources; adopt provisions concerning healthcare workplace violence; and adopt requirements and standards for nursing home emergency preparedness plans, in compliance with Acts 253, 461, and 522 of the 2022 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature.
Adopts provisions governing coverage of genetic testing of critically ill infants and provides Medicaid reimbursement outside of the inpatient hospital per diem, in compliance with Act 501 of the 2022 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature.
Continues the provisions of the November 18, 2022 Emergency Rule which amended the provisions governing the Community Choices Waiver in order to add medically tailored meals and assistive technology as covered services, as authorized under section 9817 of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
