Baton Rouge – The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals awarded pharmacy grants to four community-based collaborations for projects aimed at increasing access to affordable prescription drugs for residents of rural and underserved areas.
The Department of Health and Hospitals today updated the total number of West Nile virus cases for the year. Since the last report, four new cases have been identified and two prior cases have been reclassified. This brings the total number of West Nile virus cases to 194 for the current year.
Effective Dec. 9, 2006, the Eloise T. Clem WIC Clinic, located at 3849 North Blvd, Suite 103 in Baton Rouge, will no longer provide WIC services, the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, infants and children under five years old.
