  Intermediate Care Facilities for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities - Supplemental Payments LAC 50:VII.32917

  Continues the provisions of the August 1, 2015 and July 20, 2016 Emergency Rules which amended the provisions governing the reimbursement methodology for intermediate care facilities for persons with intellectual disabilities (ICFs/ID) in order to adopt provisions to establish supplemental Medicaid payments for services provided to Medicaid recipients residing in privately-owned facilities that enter into a cooperative endeavor agreement with the department and established upper payment limits for supplemental payments to private intermediate care facilities entering into a cooperative endeavor agreement with the department.

  Louisiana Department of Health to Begin Water Testing for the Town of St. Joseph

  Throughout the course of the week, each home will receive an empty bottle and instructions to collect a water sample. Residents can choose to collect the sample on their own; can allow state personnel to collect the sample; or can choose not to participate in sampling.

  Gov. Edwards Issues Public Health Emergency for the Town of St. Joseph

  Today, Gov. John Bel Edwards issued a Public Health Emergency for the Town of St. Joseph in North Louisiana. Residents are advised to use an alternative source for drinking water. On Dec. 15, 2016 test results conducted by the Office of Public Health showed elevated levels of lead in two samples – a private residence and the Town Hall. Also, there were two other sites with elevated levels of copper – both were private residences. The Town of St. Joseph has experienced water problems for years due to the poorly maintained and deteriorating water distribution system. Frequent breaks in the water distribution system provide a potential health risk because of the drop in water pressure.

  Continues the provisions of the May 20, 2016 Emergency Rule which amended the provisions governing psychiatric residential treatment facilities in order to revise the minimum staffing requirements for staff-to-client ratios.

  Pediatric Day Health Care Program LAC 50:XV.27501, 27503, 27901 and 28101

  Continues the provisions of the September 1, 2016 Emergency Rule which amended the provisions governing pediatric day health care services in order to clarify these provisions and revise the recipient criteria and reimbursement methodology.

  Pediatric Day Health Care Facilities - Licensing Standards LAC 48:I.5239

  Continues the provisions of the September 1, 2016 Emergency Rule which amended the licensing standards for pediatric day health care facilities to clarify the provider participation requirements regarding the frequency of reviews for plans of care.

  Nursing Facilities - Reimbursement Methodology - Pass Through Rate Increase LAC 50:II.20005

  Continues the provisions of the September 1, 2016 Emergency Rule which amended the provisions governing nursing facilities reimbursement to include the provider fee increase in the nursing facility pass through rate in compliance with Act 675 of the 2016 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature.

  Healthcare Services Provider Fees - Nursing Facility Services Providers LAC 48:I.4001

  Continues the provisions of the September 1, 2016 Emergency Rule which amended the provisions governing provider fees in order to increase the limit of the provider fee for nursing facilities.

  Disproportionate Share Hospital Payments - Inpatient Psychiatric Services – Reimbursement Rate Reduction (LAC 50:V.959, 2709 and 2903)

  Continues the provisions of the October 1, 2015 Emergency Rule, which amended the provisions governing DSH payments to reduce the payments made to non-rural, non-state acute care hospitals for inpatient psychiatric services, in order to assure that these provisions are promulgated in a clear and concise manner in the Louisiana Administrative Code (LAC).

  Outpatient Hospital Services - Non-Rural, Non-State Hospitals - Reimbursement Rate Increase LAC 50:V.5313, 5317, 5513, 5517, 5713, 5719, 6115 and 6119

  In compliance with House Concurrent Resolution (HCR) 51 of the 2016 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature, amends the provisions governing reimbursement methodology for outpatient hospital services to increase the reimbursement rates paid to non-rural, non-state hospitals.

  Nursing Facilities - Reimbursement Methodology LAC 50:Chapter 200

  Amends the provisions governing the reimbursement methodology for nursing facilities in order to revise the method used for nursing facility rate setting and to make technical changes to align provisions with the approved State Plan amendment.
