Louisiana Department of Health: Avoid areas with algal blooms
The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) is raising awareness and urging residents to avoid areas with blue-green algae, or cyanobacteria, due to the algal bloom observed in Lake Pontchartrain by the National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS) and recent sightings of algal blooms in other waterbodies.

Managed Care for Physical and Behavioral Health – Hospital Directed Payments (LAC 50:I.3113)
Amends the provisions governing directed payments to qualifying hospitals that participate in the Healthy Louisiana Program and contract with the Medicaid managed care organizations in order to reserve the right to discontinue interim directed payments to any hospital whose projected recoupment is greater than 50 percent or who discontinues operations during or prior to the directed payment contract period. .

Targeted Case Management and Home and Community-Based Services Waivers (LAC 50:XV.Subpart 7 and XXI.Subparts 5, 9, 11, and 13)
Amends LAC 50:XV.Subpart 7 and XXI.Subparts 5, 9, 11, and 13 in order to temporarily extend allowances for early and periodic screening, diagnosis and treatment targeted case management services and flexibilities for certain home and community-based services waivers beyond the May 11, 2023 end of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency, as permitted by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Professional Services Program - Physician Directed Treatment-in-Place Ambulance Services (LAC 50:IX.Chapter 13)
Adopts provisions in the Professional Services Program to continue to provide reimbursement for physician directed treatment-in-place ambulance services after the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency ends on May 11, 2023.
