Welcome to Region 3 of the Louisiana Department of Health Office of Public Health

The LDH Office of Public Health Region 3 serves the residents of the river and bayou parishes of southeast Louisiana: Assumption, Lafourche, St. Charles, St. James, St. John, St. Mary, and Terrebonne parishes.

Working with our local and parish partners, we provide a wide range of healthcare services at our parish health units and through various outreach programs.

Services Offered

Reproductive Health

• All forms of birth control, including IUDs and Nexplanon (insertion and removal)
• Pregnancy testing, counseling, and referral

Women’s Wellness Exams (including pap smears and mammogram referrals)

Sexually Transmitted Infections

• Same-day testing and treatment on site
• Partner testing and treatment

Immunizations for children and adults

Tuberculosis (TB) testing, evaluation, and treatment

WIC (Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children)

Breastfeeding Peer Counseling

Opioid Education and NARCAN

Nurse Family Partnership (Nurse Home Visiting Program)

Community Healthways (linkage to community resources)
