OAAS Assessment and Care Planning Training
OAAS interRAI HC (iHC) and care planning trainings are only offered to the below individuals who complete assessments for the Community Choices Waiver (CCW), Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) waiver, Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) and/or Long Term-Personal Care Services (LT-PCS).
- Louisiana support coordinators and assessors that work for a Louisiana SCA
- PACE Assessors
- LT-PCS Assessors
The iHC assessment training consists of pre-requisite requirements, two days of classroom instruction, successful completion of a comprehensive online exam, and the completion of one field assessment validated by an OAAS trainer. Care Planning training consists of two days of classroom instruction, the completion of one Plan of Care reviewed and accepted by an OAAS trainer, and successful completion of a comprehensive online exam. Care Planning training is required for SCs and SCA Supervisors only.
Upon completion of the required training, the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) - OAAS will issue the assessor/trainee an interRAI HC assessment and, if applicable, Care Planning certification which is valid for a period of three years.
Through the enrollment process, OAAS will inform new SCAs when to register for training.
Registration
To register for OAAS interRAI HC assessment and/or care planning training, please complete the interRAI HC Assessment Training Registration form. Once completed, click the SUBMIT button at the top of the form OR follow the instructions at the end of the form.
Please note, training registrations MUST be received by OAAS at least one week prior to the scheduled training date.
