Nursing Facilities Licensing Standards – LAC 48.I.Chapter 97-99
Baton Rouge, Louisiana – February 20, 2025 - The department proposes to amend the provisions governing the licensing of a nursing facilities (NF) in order to require NFs to access the certified nurse aide (CNA) registry and the Louisiana adverse actions list, prior to hire and then monthly thereafter to ensure that a prospective hire or currently employed or contracted CNA does not have a finding.
Notice of Intent (proposed changes): NF_ NOI_25.02 It is anticipated that the Notice of Intent will be published in the February 20, 2025 edition of the Louisiana Register.

Final Rule: NF_RULE_20.08 The anticipated effective date for the proposed Rule is August 20, 2025.
