Molluscan Shellfish Program Reclassification Maps (September-October2025)
The Louisiana Molluscan Shellfish Program classifies all molluscan shellfish growing areas 4 times a year and publishes maps showing which areas are approved for harvesting molluscan shellfish. Seasonal reclassifications are based upon statisical data using the Food and Drug Administrations (FDA) criteria by analyzing results from water quality samples collected on or adjacent to the growing areas.
